While standard shingles are made with oxidation, highly pollutive, century-old, technology, Malarkey pioneered a better way- bypassing harmful oxidation processes and adding polymers to the asphalt instead. These polymers come from synthetic and recycled sources like car tires, diverting their entry into landfills. The result is a more sustainable, rubberized shingle with exceptional durability and longevity. Today, each 30 square roof diverts the equivalent of 5 rubber tires and 350 plastic milk jugs from the landfill.
